Dr Helen Cameron is Head of Public Affairs for The Salvation Army's United Kingdom Territory with the Republic of Ireland.
The Public Affairs Unit seek to promote and defend the work of The Salvation Army in the political sphere in the interests of greater social justice for those the Army serves. This can involve lobbying both government and businesses to change their policy and practice. Helen is a practical theologian and prior to her current role set up a research centre at an Anglican Theological College. She has written on theological reflection, mission and researching practice and taught non-profit management.
A lifelong Salvationist, Helen lives near Oxford on a farm where her husband is the shepherd.
