Trusting in God
May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit. Romans 15:17
In August, after the High Council, we were able to take some holiday in Switzerland and to be with our children. As I was reflecting over the events of the past few months, about the future and all the planned travelling ahead, one verb came into my mind, and this was: “To trust”.
During the holiday, I was able to experience first-hand, how our four grandchildren implicitly trust their parents, specifically how the two little two months old babies, Leona and Wendy, trust their mum and dad for everything relating to their needs. When they are upset or afraid, only their parents can calm them down!
We too have to trust our heavenly Father with our lives. Jesus said that we have to be like children, (Mark 10:15) if we want to enter the Kingdom of God. Only God will never disappoint us, will always love us, always be with us, will be true to his promises. Although the fact that I trust him will not spare me from suffering and the dangers of life, I know that I am safe in his hands. If we do put our trust in God, then as the apostle Paul wrote, joy and peace will be ours!
Look forward to seeing you when we visit your country!
