The Saved2Save Training School (S2S) initiated in January 2008 as part of the vision to see the town of Visby on the island of Gotland, Sweden, as a base for missionary work in Europe.
The aim of the school is to see the students built up and restored to God's original plan and design for each one individually. ‘We want them to experience full salvation and to be filled with the Spirit; empowered to live a holy life. We also want to train and equip them for service within a European context', explains Major Kjell Karlsten, who along with his wife Major Ann-Christine is in charge of the school and of The Salvation Army's work in Visby.
Former S2S students have come from all over the world, consequently taking up responsibilities in corps planting and corps leadership in Ukraine, Iceland, Germany and Sweden while others have responded to God's call to officership.
Due to the lack of financial resources S2S was cancelled this year but a new course is expected to start in 2013.
