God put love and trust in my heart, even when it is not easy for me every day. I think we always feel encouraged when we meet people who share the same belief, the same faith. I really hope that everything will be conducted by the Holy Spirit, in whatever is planned. I hope to be blessed, to know more and to feel, at the end, empowered. I want to share and make this training beneficial for my church and the people around me when I return to France.

Netherlands and the Czech Republic Territory

My name is Adiël Vader. I'm studying at university and working at the headquarters of The Salvation Army in the Netherlands. I'm looking forward to being a delegate of the ICS to meet other Salvationists and to learn and grow in faith and mission together. I have a passion for holiness and social justice. I would like to share the words of one of my favorite songs: 'Take time to be holy, speak oft with thy Lord; abide in him always, and feed on his word. Make friends of God's children, help those who are weak, forgetting in nothing his blessing to seek.'

I am a 24 year old student half way through my Master studies in Development Management. It is an exciting subject and I can't wait to see where it takes me. I love to travel and visit new countries and cultures, which is something I have been blessed to do a lot the last couple of years. God has given me these amazing opportunities to travel and he is a constant source of calmness and security all the time. I truly believe that God has led me on the path I am on and I know that he will be with me every step of the way. I am looking forward to participate in ICS. I look forward to meeting new people and having a great experience learning more of God's words together with others.

rasmus

Rasmus Ljungberg
Sweden and Latvia Territory

For quite a long time I have been troubled with what God wants me to do. What is my calling? The last two years I have been feeling an attraction towards theology and the studying of the word of God. A passion for knowledge of the truth that Jesus spoke and a longing to pass it on to others are starting to grow. I am just in the beginning of this, and I don't know where it will take me or exactly what God wants me to do. But it feels like the right course for me. My hope for the ICS is that it will give me some of the tools that I will need, and it will be wonderful for a person that at the moment is studying at a secular university to hear teaching with its foundation in Jesus.

Debora Nufer
Switzerland, Austria and Hungary Territory

I have had the privilege of being raised in a Christian family. My parents are devoted Salvationists and have given me authentic examples of Christ-followers. Since my early childhood, I have dreamed of bringing the gospel to the people around me by showing them God's love in a practical and authentic way and see how lives are transformed. Through all the ups and downs of my life, God has proved to be faithful. I am excited to be challenged at the ICS and see what God has in store for me in the near and further future.

Laurence Pallant
United Kingdom with the Republic of Ireland Territory

I have been privileged to grow up in a Salvation Army family and have spent various periods of my life in Ipswich, Chikankata - Zambia, Rugby and Bromley. I am excited to come to the ICS to learn more about the work of the Army and its influence in the many different settings represented by my fellow delegates. Most of the ministry I have so far engaged with is kids work, both at my corps - Bromley, and in the surrounding division of London South East. The next six years of my life will be spent in London studying to be a doctor, I am grateful to God for this opportunity and the many future opportunities that will present themselves!

I have been greatly blessed to have been brought up by my family in the Salvation Army. I have known Jesus as my Saviour since I was a young child and have been growing more and more in my faith since then. I am currently studying at University which has been great as I have a met many Christian friends who have encouraged me in my faith and I have been able to experience worship at a different Corps on a Sunday. I have recently returned from a month's mission trip in Brazil this summer which has been a huge encouragement to my faith. Experiencing another culture and the way in which they serve God has helped me to assess how I do this myself at home in England. I hope and pray that this great opportunity to be a delegate at the ICS will allow the same opportunity.
