The first International College for Solders (ICS) took place 10 - 24 September 2012. Twenty-five young adult Salvationists from all over the world gathered at the Cedars in London, England. This was the fulfilment of a recommendation from the International Spiritual Life Commission in 1996 and the desire of many Salvationists over the years.
The goal of the ICS is that the delegates will increase their biblical, theological, and historical knowledge. They will learn about personal holiness - through small group bible studies, personal reflection time, and morning devotions - and put into practice spiritual disciplines and new methods of prayer. Delegates will also implement their knowledge of social holiness, with ministry at Salvation Army social centres and on the streets of London.
