June 16, 2008 - Since Friday, raging forest fires within Halifax Regional Municipality have forced 4,000 people to be evacuated from close to 2,300 homes. Lakeview Manor's executive director, Major Shirley King, and long-time board member and volunteer, Russell Coates, have a good reason to smile as the nursing home's new accreditation certficate is proudly displayed at the main entryway. April 21, 2008-The Salvation Army Lakeview Manor is pleased to announce that it has once again received full accreditation from the Canadian Council on Health Services Accreditation. The 50-bed level 3 nursing home in Riverview was surveyed by the CCHSA last November, in a process that included focus groups and team interviews along with an on-site visit.
