Tom’s Story:
The first time I walked into Openshaw (Salvation Army), my life
was a mess. I was in a hard core metal band; drinking and pot
had become bare essentials, along with depression, loneliness
and anger. So, I sat in the small hall and looked around. These
people had something I wanted. I left with the question, 'Was
I prepared to give this Jesus a try?' Over the next couple of
weeks I met with the team leader and we talked things through.
I finally made the commitment to God in my bedroom. Slowly,
my life began to blossom. I felt so loved and accepted by God.
I also had a growing passion to see others get saved. It has
been the most amazing two years of my life and I am now studying
Theology and Youth Ministry at university. |
