What information do we collect? How do we use it?

When you buy tickets online from our events unit or products from our SP&S shop, we need to know your name, email address, delivery address, credit or debit card number and the card's expiry date. This allows us to process and fulfil your orders and to notify you of the status of your order. We also need to know your email address so that we can send you confirmation of your order details.
If you donate online for one of our fundraising campaigns, as a minimum we need credit or debit card details and the card's expiry date.
Although credit or debit card numbers are required to complete an on-line transaction, this information is not stored, and you are therefore required to enter it each time you visit the site.
You may also volunteer to provide additional information, which we may use to personalise your browsing experience.
We may also use the information we collect to notify you occasionally about topics that you believe are relevant to you by having registered an interest in them or by having subscribed to certain pages on our site.
How do we protect information?
When you place orders or access your profile information, we use a secure server. Its software (SSL) encrypts all information you input before it is sent to us. Furthermore, we apply strict security procedures in the storage and disclosure of information which you have given us, to prevent unauthorised access.
