Last
week, Hemel Hempstead Corps were the proud winners
of this year’s Field Day – an annual
sporting event of The Salvation Army. For the first
time in years, Bedford Congress Hall have been toppled
from the prime position.
Held on 26th June at Birmingham’s Fox
Hollies Leisure Centre, people from 38 Salvation
Army churches entered, to compete in a variety of
sports, including football, netball, athletics,
badminton and table tennis. Kids Alive also ran
a special children’s Olympics event during
the day, which was also won by Hemel Corps.
