Corps Officers Lts. Jeff and Michelle JosephsonThe Salvation Army Mat-Su Valley Corps is a church filled with people who desire to live complete and meaningful lives. Together we are discovering that life in relationship with Jesus is everything we desire. Whatever stage in life you find yourself, we would be pleased to help you to fully enjoy it with Jesus. (At left: Mat Su Corps Officers Lts. Jeff and Michelle Josephson.)

"You my brothers, were called to be free. But do not use your freedom to indulge the sinful nature, rather, serve one another in love. The entire law is summed up in a single command: Love your neighbor as yourself." Galatians 5:13-14

Mat-Su Valley Corps Services: The Salvation Army Alaska’s Mat-Su Corps provides social services in the form of emergency housing needs such as eviction prevention rental assistance, first and last month’s rent and utility assistance for electricity, gas, and fuel oil. The Corps, located in Palmer, has a food pantry and works with the state TEFAP program and Alaska Food Bank as a distribution site. We also provide senior food boxes and are a primary disaster canteen for food, with a fully mobile self-contained kitchen and the capacity for feeding 500 people per day during a disaster. Senior outings and youth programs are also part of the services provided by the Mat-Su Corps of The Salvation Army Alaska Division.

Mat-Su Valley Corps Mission Statement: The Mat-Su Valley Corps (church) is a part of the body of Christ. We will preach the good news of Jesus Christ and make disciples. We will demonstrate God's love in all areas of our church and community.

Mat-Su Valley Vision Statement: We will have a passion to win souls for God. We will be a growing Corps (church) that meets the physical, spiritual, social and emotional need of our people and community. We will provide a safe place to meet and a sanctuary for unique, life changing programs.

Summer Camps: During the summer, The Salvation Army's Camp at King's Lake in Wasilla provides camping programs designed for children to experience the love of God through the great outdoors. We offer swimming, archery, crafts, campfires, music, canoeing, music, friendship, fellowship and fun! Beautiful lake side mountain cabins, nutritious meals, exciting activities and trained staff make this the best week or summer experience.
