In tough times or disaster situations, many hard-working families and individuals turn to The Salvation Army for help. For some, paying rent and buying gas to get to work is all they can handle, so little money is left for food. With emergency food boxes, we offer the basics including canned fruit, vegetables, protein and carbohydrates.

Our Older Alaskans Programs provides meals to seniors in the Anchorage area during the week.

We also provide community Thanksgiving and Christmas dinners across Alaska where everyone is welcome.

Those in the Anchorage area can donate items for our food boxes by calling the Family Service office in the S.A.F.E. Center at (907) 277-2593, or visit us at 1712 A Street. If you are outside of Anchorage and would like to donate food items, contact The Salvation Army nearest you.
