How to Donate Goods

Your donation of used furniture, clothing and other household items could be tax-deductible (consult your tax advisor) and they will support the needs of individuals and families in your local community, as well as addiction recovery programs in larger communities.

The bargains you donate or purchase in our stores also help other reclaim their lives and heal families. When donating goods, please review the questions below to ensure your donations are appropriate for resale:

  • Are there rips, tears or severe stains on clothing or furniture?
  • Is the item in safe, working order and it includes all necessary parts?
  • Will The Salvation Army have to use its limited resources to recycle or dispose of the item?

Thank you for your faithful support.
