When 21-year-old Timea Nagy arrived in Toronto to earn a living as a waitress, her passport was taken, she was kidnapped, controlled, and forced to work in the sex-trade industry. Online Conference Scheduled for March 2010
‘Speak Out’ is an online conference about advocacy and social
justice. It is jointly sponsored and managed by the International
Social Justice Commission and The Salvation Army's Ethics Centre.
Salvation Army and Other Faith-Based Organizations in Policy Discussions with United Nations Population Fund
The Salvation Army joined with other faith-based organizations in early August 2009 in a round table discussion with UNFP.

Start Freedom is a global campaign for schools and young people, to help them become aware of the issues surrounding human trafficking and realise their power to make a difference.
Start Freedom, Stop the Traffik
The ISJC teamed with Steve Chalke of Stop the Traffik, the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) and UN GIFT to enable filming of Start Freedom, Stop the Traffik, a video highlighting the plight of victims of human trafficking and challenging young people to devise ways of creating their own message to raise awareness of trafficking in their local communities
